Live in Waimea - Experience the West Side
The West Side is home to a few of Kauai’s most historic places and scenic wonders. Live in the middle of cute Waimea, where you can walk to the grocery store, bank, restaurants, the ice cream and shaved ice shops, and more! Walk less than two blocks to the beautiful beach, or head north beyond the gorges and cliffs of Waimea Canyon, visit Koke'e State Park where you’ll find an amazing view from the Kalalau Lookout, and then hike the Kalalau Valley. In addition, the quaint, westside town of Hanapepe is close by, which hosts the Friday night art walk with live music and food trucks. Swim in the Queen’s Pond at the Westside Polihale State Beach which ends at the Na Pali Coast. Experience beautiful sunsets and the magical views of the Island of Ni'ihau. For more information, visit the West Kauai Visitor Center or Wikipedia.
The Historic Yamase Building
|
As shown above, the Annex of the Yamase building was located on Moana Rd., to the south of the main building, until Hurricane Iniki destroyed it in 1992.
In 1995, a replicate Annex was built, to the west of the main building, which was renovated the same year. Today, the Yamase Building is comprised of five rental apartments and three commercial tenants - Subway Sandwich Shop, Makai Realty and OneTrust Mortgage. |
